ES2 News Update
Hello All!

I know, I know, everyone is complaining that we haven't updated the site.  Part of the problem is that we cannot seem to get a good internet connection and the other...... well you know I am married to the whirling dervish and I just don't have a minute to myself to work on it!  So I have sent Gary and Buster on their way for a walk and will give you an update on our trip.

If you have been tracking us you will know that we have been bouncing around So California visiting friends, family and old stomping grounds saying our farewells.  We headed for Santa Cruz Island from our marina and then crossed back over to Paradise Cove in Malibu.  From there we headed to Redondo, on a rather nasty passage I might add, to visit friends and family.

My Mom is in the area and was such a great help shuffling cars.  I had some real quality time with her and I cherish every minute.  Kevin and Lauren came for dinner and we had a lovely time with them.  This was my last chance to get a kiss and a big hug from them before leaving the area. They will all be missed so much.  At least my family will all be together for Thanksgiving that makes me feel better.  After leaving Redondo, we headed to Catalina, finally an absolutely perfect crossing.  It was about time!!!!!  We spent several days in Avalon and then moved over to Two Harbors, Cherry Cove.  We had several visitors in Avalon and in Cherry.  Most arrived in Sire, Larry and Annie's boat.  There was Trevor and Brooke, Larry and Annie, Pete and Jill, Lisa & Cisco, Dennise & Jonathan, and Tommy and Athena in Avalon.  This was also my last chance to get a kiss and a big hug from our middle son before leaving the area. Then in Cherry Cove Larry and Annie, Pete, and Tommy came over again to hang out and spend our last time together for a while.  Everyone will be missed so much and their visits meant so much to both of us.

Next we headed to Dana Point, this marina has to be the most beautiful marina I have ever seen.  We really enjoyed hanging out there for a few days.  This was the SUP capital for sure.  For those of you who are not SUP folks these are Stand Up Paddleboarders.  There were people of all ages and sizes and there were even tandum riders, it was amazing.  Gary sure blended in there with all the others.  We then headed to Oceanside for a couple days and on to Mision Bay.  We had alot of fun in Mission Bay what a cool place.  We spent three hours in the dingy sight seeing and even got a chance to open up the outboard to see what it could do.  I swear we could have water skied behind the dingy.

So now here we sit in Shelter Island, San Diego, the last stop in the United States before we head down to Mexico.  Gary is so excited that he just can't wait and I am trying to get us provisioned and ready for our adventure.  We will probably head out this weekend sometime as we wait for a good weather window.  Yesterday was just gorgeous and now today it's cloudy, windy and cold.  Go figure.......  And so it is with cruising, always waiting on the weather windows to be safe and to keep your wife from coming unglued.

So follow us as we go.  All you need do is to cut and paste this link into your browser and away you go........

Love to you all,

Gary, Lorri and The Buster

P.S.  Buster said to let everyone know that he's doing quite well with all of this and has already had his first bath and haircut on the boat.  He is such a good traveler.  Woof!!
